GAS TECHNICIAN 3 (FULL TIME)
Our full-time Gas Technician courses offer an accelerated schedule to have you G3 certified in just 4 weeks. We offer hands-on training and small class sizes to ensure the best environment for you to learn. Classes run daily Monday to Friday for the full day at our Niagara Skilled Trades Academy campus in St. Catharines.

GAS TECHNICIAN 2 (FULL TIME)
Many students who enrol in our Gas Technician 3 (Full Time) training course also enrol in the Gas Technician 2 (Full Time) training course. Our G2 course runs immediately following the G3 course. Our G2 course runs during the day on weekdays and in 12 weeks you will have completed your training and entering the workforce as a G2 licensed Gas Technician.

GAS TECHNICIAN 3 (PART TIME)
The Gas Technician 3 (Part-Time) course runs in the evenings two days per week and every Saturday. These courses are ideal for students pursuing second careers or working full-time in addition to taking classes. Our G3 training course runs for 10 weeks.

GAS TECHNICIAN 2 (PART TIME)
Don’t stop at your G3 – complete your G2 certification training to be eligible to work unsupervised to install, inspect, alter, purge, activate, repair, service, or remove gas appliances and equipment. Our part-time G2 training course runs for approximately 5 months.

OZONE DEPLETION PREVENTION
INTRODUCTION TO RESIDENTIAL AIR CONDITIONING
The Niagara Skilled Trades Academy offers our informational Introduction to Residential Air Conditioning course, for skilled trades workers looking to work on residential air conditioning equipment. Though the successful completion of the course does not result in a trade license, the information students gain regarding the basics of residential AC installation, service, and maintenance, as well as basic refrigeration theory, is invaluable for air conditioning mechanics.

GAS TECHNICIAN 3 (FULL TIME)
Conveniently located minutes away from the GO Station, the Halton Skilled Trades Academy in Oakville is an ideal location for commuters or those seeking skilled trades training in the GTA. At the Halton Skilled Trades Academy, we offer our full-time Gas Technician 3 training course, which runs daily for 5 weeks. As a licensed G3 Gas Technician, you are required to work under the direct supervision of a certified G1 or G2 licensed Gas Technician.

GAS TECHNICIAN 2 (FULL TIME)
To work independently without supervision, a valid G2 license is required, and in order to enroll in Gas Technician 2 training, you must hold a valid G3 license. At the Halton Skilled Trades Academy, we offer full-time Gas Technician 2 training courses that run consecutively after the Gas Technician 3 course completes. The course runs daily for 12 weeks.

Our part-time Gas Technician training courses run on an evening and weekend schedule, two nights during the week and one day during the weekend. This format allows those with busy schedules or full-time work to fit Gas Technician training into their life easily. Our Gas Technician 3 training course runs for 10 weeks, resulting in a valid G3 license.

GAS TECHNICIAN 2 (PART TIME)
For students looking to immediately further their education and earn their G2 license, the Halton Skilled Trades Academy runs a part-time Gas Technician 2 course immediately following the conclusion of the previous G3 course. Continuing your training to earn a valid G2 license allows you to enter the workforce able to work independently, without requiring direct supervision.

OZONE DEPLETION PREVENTION
For Gas Technicians or skilled trades workers looking to work in the HVAC industry or air conditioning servicing, it is required by Canadian law that they have a valid Ozone Depletion Prevention Card to service refrigeration equipment, or to purchase and handle refrigerants. At the Halton Skilled Trades Academy, we offer an ODP training course. Students who complete the one day, eight-hour course and earn a grade of 75% or higher on the exam are eligible for their ODP card certification.

313D AIR CONDITIONING EXAM PREP
The 313D Exam Prep course is designed to prepare students who intend to take the Certificate of Qualifications Exam which is required to earn your Residential Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic (313D) license. The focus of the course is to prepare you to succeed on the exam, though the completion of the course does not result in a license or certificate.

Working at Heights
For skilled trade workers who encounter heights on the job, the Ontario Government requires that a working at heights training program is completed. This course covers fall protection, such as travel restraint systems, fall restricting systems, fall arrest systems, safety nets and work/safety belts.
WHMIS
The Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) program is designed to ensure the safety of all employees and employers on the job by indicating any potential risks of chemicals or substances that you may come into contact with. By law, workers in Ontario are required to complete a WHMIS training program. The Skilled Trades Academies offer a comprehensive WHMIS training program.
