G1 GAP
About the Course
The G1 GAP course is intended for individuals intent on upgrading to a G1 license. Successful completion of this course grants the student an equivalent to the 500 hours of work experience required to be eligible for G1 training. Upon successful completion of this course the individual would meet the work experience requirement in order to be eligible to attend G1 training.
This course cannot be used as experience required to challenge a G1 exam. The student must attend a G1 training course within 18 months of completing the G1 GAP program.
This program does not require approval under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005.

Part Time: 2 weeknight classes per week for 12 weeks

Admission Requirements
The applicant shall provide written confirmation of work experience detailing two years (4000 hours) of field experience as a G.2.

Certification
Successful completion of this program grants the student with a letter of completion. The letter of completion will provide confirmation that the student has met the 500 hour work experience requirement for Gas Technician 1 training program eligibility.
