As someone who learns best in a hands-on environment, I love the shop classes. I love to learn about new things in a visual way as well. There aren’t many places where you can practice these skills outside of school as I previously wouldn’t have wanted to touch my furnace or hot water tank unless there was a problem. Now I feel more than confident to disassemble and reassemble any furnace that comes my way and do the regular maintenance on my own equipment.
